A month has already rolled around since our last
October newsletter and now we greet November! Lately I have heard
and read much about the importance of living in the now.
Many of us are so caught up in everyday life and striving to live
and feel in the past, future and present all at the
same time. Now is the only time each of us has. Yesterday is gone,
tomorrow is uncertain and today is ours to enjoy. Spread today’s
jam thick on your bread today. Stop trying to saw yesterday’s
sawdust, it does not work! Everything that is happening to you
is happening to you now!
It is important to plan for the future, but not
worry about it. When we fret and worry we are channeling energy
into avenues of non-performance. Many people say me, "Anne
Marie I will be so happy when I graduate... when I get married...
when the house is paid off... when I get that promotion ... new
car and on and on it goes!" The truth is they will never be
happy When ... the secret is to be happy Now!
Happiness is the path to fulfillment and peace of mind.
Make a habit of getting up every morning and
saying to yourself, "Good morning, self, this is a wonderful,
new day. I am happy, excited and greet my day with enthusiasm and
positive energy to the good of all parties concerned. Thank you,
Thank you, Thank you."
Make this a habit for twenty-one days and see how
your life changes for the better. Stop trying to control and make
things happen the way you think they should. Take a step back and
watch things fall into place in your life. Become a silent
observer and say daily, "Divine Order."
I would be very pleased to hear your viewpoint on
the subject of "Now Living."

Reflexology you
say, what is that?
by Chris Einarson
Have you ever felt just a little below par and
wondered how to solve the problem? That kind of feeling when you
know that you are o.k. but somehow your body doesn't? This may be
the time to turn to Reflexology as the art of Reflexology is
becoming widely used as people search for more holistic methods to
help deal with their health issues.
Reflexology you say, what is that? Believe it or
not, but it has been around for thousands of years. There are even
drawings by the Egyptians showing this work in progress, so we
know that it goes back that far.
The method is working with the reflexes in the
feet and hands, hence the name Reflexology. A reflex is an
involuntary response to stimuli. An energy current passes from a
specific point in the foot… to a specific organ via a neural
pathway, or an energy channel, providing there is no blockage. A
blockage means that the circulation needs to be improved.
This in turn relaxes the organ or cell and waste
is released, thereby promoting healing.
Usually it is most beneficial to work on the feet
because they are more sensitive but if this is not possible; the
hands are a second best. The feet combined are like a map of the
entire body. Once the practicing Reflexologist begins working on
the feet he/she can often find the areas that need assistance.
For instance if you have an earache the foot on
the side of the aching ear should be worked. The area is just
below the toes where the bones connect to the main part of the
foot on both the little toe and the next one in.
If your right ear is the bothersome one, then go
to the right foot. When you have finished try to feel the
difference in the two feet - (notice how much lighter it feels)
then work on the left one for just a few moments. If it is not
possible to get to the feet then try rubbing the hand on that
side.
To balance things out remember to rub the left
hand for a few moments.

Just what is an Affirmation you may ask? In the
beginning God, Creator or Universal Mind affirmed the world into
being. This wonderful, astonishing power is still the same today.
You can use the marvelous power of Affirmations to bring your own
individual world into reality. You can realize your fondest and
innermost dreams. You can use the power of Affirmations to
create health, wealth and happiness in your life. You are the
creator of your Universe and a co-creator with God. You are an
Affirmation -- creating, achieving, success-oriented person. This
is your world.
What is an Affirmation?
Affirmations are similar to prayers, wishes or goals
only they are more structured and specific. Goals help form
pictures in the mind. To affirm is to make firm. Simply put, the
basis of all Affirmations is positive thinking. Affirmations are
declarations of acceptance used to fill oneself with an abundance
of freedom, prosperity and peace. They can also be a positive
sentence or a group of sentences put together to make a positive
Affirmation. The Affirmation is aligned with the laws of the great
Universe; therefore it is the truth and always has been. Any
Affirmation declared with conviction and belief will manifest that
which it affirms. When you do Affirmations you transfer a portion
of your life force to that Affirmation. Affirmations used properly
are powerful psychological tools for growth. Some people call the
Affirmation process Treasure Mapping or creating a Wish List. I
refer to this procedure as Affirmation Treasure Mapping.
Magic Wands
Affirmations are also referred to as magic wands or trigger
tools. These tools can assist you in realizing your fondest
and innermost dreams. They allow you to take control of your life.
You are the captain of your ship, the director or actor of your
movie and the only decision maker in your Universe. When you do
Affirmations with commitment, faith, expectancy and enthusiasm,
they exert a powerful impact on your belief system, emotions,
health and life. I like to think of the Universe as a Gigantic
Affirmation Machine. The procedure of doing Affirmations is
not a cult or any form of brainwashing. It is a completely
real and natural process. You are simply working with the laws of
the great Universe. Positive thinking and doing the Affirmation
Program properly is like purifying the mind or washing and shampooing
the brain. Affirmations are not magic. You make your own magic by
using your marvelous, inner power. Affirmations are very
important, however they should not be used to take the place of
one-on-one therapy, group therapy, the twelve step programs and
other programs. They should done in conjunction with them.
Master Affirmation (the Seed)
This is your order to the Universe, or the seed
that you are planting in the rich, fertile soil of your
subconscious mind. Be specific and say exactly what you desire.
Your Master Affirmation should be explicit and individual. Be
precise, specific and exact. Remember you get back exactly what
you order up or affirm. If your order is vague and uncertain, your
answer will be vague and uncertain. Vague Affirmations are seldom
realized. Develop perception and create a strong desire. Feel the
power of yearning. Your burning desire and deep yearning serve as
launching platforms to assist you in creating the manifestation of
your completed Affirmations.
Short Form Affirmation
Your Short Form Affirmation is composed of five
or six key words taken from your Master Affirmation. These words
are jotted down three times on a separate piece of paper.
Various Types of Affirmations
Word
Words are thoughts expressed. They carry the
message and energy of your Affirmations with them. Some words are
neutral but most words are either negative of positive and charged
with the emotion of fear or love. In these Affirmations you speak
the word, or in other words say them out loud. Verbal Affirmations
manifest what is affirmed by declaration. Every word filled with
the positive emotion of faith and expectancy brings forth after
its kind, in body, mind and spirit. Whether shouted or whispered,
your words have power.
Thought
You utilize your thought processes by thinking
Affirmations into existence. You think about what you wish to have
happen in your life. You focus and fully concentrate on the object
you desire and think it into reality! Everything that exists
started as a thought in someone’s mind.
Feeling (faith)
Faith is the action of mind that takes an idea; goal or
Affirmation as truth accepts it and acts upon it. When you have
faith you live in the mental and emotional state that would be
yours if your desires were already fulfilled, even when sense
perception gives evidence to the contrary. It is so important to
add the element of faith to all your Affirmations. Feel and accept
the Affirmation as a completed reality in your very being.
Action
Take action and write your Affirmations on paper, utilizing the
physical senses. This takes them out of the realm of chance and
places them in the realm of reality, giving them form and shape.
Blow breath and life into your Affirmations by taking the
appropriate action.
Writing Out your Affirmations
When you write out an Affirmation you are talking to yourself
or thinking on paper. The Affirmation process is formalized by
writing Affirmations. When you write you leave an image, form or
picture on paper, canvas, material, etc. The moment you write out
your Affirmation, it is on the way to happening for you. Written
words are a step closer to the materialization of your
Affirmation.
Immediate Manifestation
At times your Affirmations will manifest immediately and at
other times the result may be slow. If your thoughts, desires, or
Affirmations arise at the instant when there are no
conflicting thoughts present to nullify this power, the mind
throws its great force behind that one desire or Affirmation. The
mind is not divided among other thoughts and that particular
Affirmation or desire manifests immediately as if by some
form of magic. The results of your Affirmation appear in
the moment the mind fully accepts and believes the Affirmation is
true. Invent ways to prime the pump of your mind to believe and
accept that the Affirmation is true and always has been. You also
may need to convince each part of the mind that the Affirmation is
true, always has been and always will be. Tap into your innermost
feelings and emotions and ask when the time is right to take
action and what type of action is appropriate.
