| 13 digit ISBN or Bookland EAN
bar code:
To convert a Book ISBN to a EAN13 Bookland do the
following:
Example ten digit ISBN: 0-96-622573-2
1. Remove the ISBN check digit (2), and hyphens which results in
'096622573'.
2. Append '978' to '096622573' which results in '978096622573'
3. Use a software tool to calculate the EAN13 check digit which in this
case is '0'
*The resulting EAN13 Bookland will be: 978-0-966225-73-0

| *How do you get your
UPC number for your product:
If you already have your UPC number then please continue on. If you do not
have your UPC number, please contact the Uniform Code Council,
Inc. (UCC) to become a UCC member. Once you become a UCC member you
will be able to create
your own UPC numbers for your products.
|
UPC - A:
The UPC-A (Universal Product Code-A), bar code number is made up of a 12-digit number, for example 0-12345-12345-0.
The first digit indicates the numbering system used ('0' or '7' denotes a regular UPC-A code). The next five digits (12345) identify the manufacturer
(issued to your company by the Universal Code Council); the next five digits (12345) identify the product number assigned by your company. The
remaining digit (0) is the check digit, which is calculated mathematically using the preceding digits.
The UPC-A issuer will determine the type of numbering system used for your
bar code. Common numbering systems are '0' & '7'. |
 |
| bar code output:012345123450 |

|

|
|
UPC - E:
The UPC-E (Universal Product Code-E), bar code is a
six-digit variation of the UPC-A bar code normally used for smaller
packages. |

|
|
|
EAN - 13:
The EAN-13 bar code number is a superset of the UPC-A and is made up of a 13-digit number, for example 00-12345-12345-0.
The first two digits (00) identify the country and numbering system. The next five digits (12345) identify the manufacturer (issued to your company by the Universal Code Council); the next five digits (12345) identify the product number assigned by your company. The remaining digit (0) is the check
digit, which is calculated mathematically using the preceding digits. Our example EAN-13
bar code is for USA and Canada (00-13).
The EAN issuer will determine the type of numbering system used for your
bar code.
*If
you are planning on marketing your product internationally you should
contact the Universal Code
Council for more detailed information regarding EAN-13. |

Note: NetAdsSell does not issue ISBNs or UPC numbers; rather we
create a bar code image file from the ISBN or UPC number that you have been
issued by the respective issuer. Once you have received your ISBN or UPC
number then please return to our service so that we can create the bar
code
image file for you. Additional questions can be sent to webadmin@netadssell.com.
The Process: To order a
bar code image file simply fill in the form
below and submit it. A staff member will contact you if they
have any questions regarding your order. We will create your
bar code in 'EPS' format and then email you a sample
'JPG' of it along with
a 'PayPal' request for payment. If you approve the bar code, you can
then complete the secure credit card or 'PayPal' payment. Once payment confirmation is received, we
immediately email you the bar code in both 'JPG' and 'EPS' file format. The
advantage to having an 'EPS' file is that your printer or graphics designer
can easily modify the size to fit your book or product, thus saving you time
and money. The entire bar code creation process usually takes less than one
business day (excluding holidays).
